It utilizes fixed thermal and magnetic trip units to provide dependable long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection for commercial facilities. This breaker is designed for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards [1.3.6]. It features a plug-on line connection that mounts directly to the interior busbar, combined with traditional terminal lugs on the load side.
How much panel space does this 3-pole F-frame breaker require?
The FH36070 requires 4.5 inches of bus space in an I-Line panelboard. Square D F-frame breakers measure 1.5 inches of width per pole.
What is the difference between the FH36070 and the FA36070?
The difference lies in the short-circuit interrupting capacity. The FH36070 is a high-interrupting model rated at 25kAIC at 480VAC. The standard FA36070 is rated lower at 18kAIC at 480VAC. Both breakers share the same physical dimensions and I-Line mounting interface.
Is the FH36070 still manufactured, or what is the replacement?
The FH36070 is part of the legacy F-frame series, which has been discontinued by Schneider Electric. Upgrades and replacements are typically handled by modern Square D PowerPact B-frame or H-frame I-Line breakers, provided the selected replacement meets your system's required fault current ratings.
Which lug kit is used on the load side of the FH36070?
