What are the acceptable wire sizes for the lugs on the FH36060?
The standard mechanical lugs accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper wire, or 12 to 1/0 AWG aluminum wire.
Can the thermal and magnetic trip curves be adjusted on this breaker?
No. This F-frame breaker features fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip settings, meaning the trip thresholds cannot be modified in the field.
Is the FH36060 a current production model?
The FH36060 is a legacy F-frame circuit breaker. Schneider Electric has superseded this line with modern PowerPact series equivalents, such as the PowerPact B-frame (catalog number BGA36060) or PowerPact H-frame (catalog number HJA36060) for I-Line applications.
Can the FH36060 be used in DC voltage systems?
Yes, in addition to standard AC power systems, this breaker is rated for use in 250VDC applications with an interrupting capacity of 10 kAIC.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit protect the circuit?
The trip unit provides two functions: a long-time thermal delay that prevents overheating from continuous overloads, and an instantaneous magnetic override that immediately trips the breaker during a short circuit.
