This breaker is specifically designed with an I-Line plug-in mounting connection. It will only fit Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards, and cannot be used in traditional bolt-on or unit-mount enclosures.
What does the LI trip function mean on this breaker?
The LI designation indicates that the thermal-magnetic trip unit provides Long-Time (L) protection for sustained overloads and Instantaneous (I) protection for sudden short circuits. On this specific model, the thermal long-time setting is fixed, while the instantaneous magnetic trip is user-adjustable for coordination with downstream devices.
What are the wire size requirements for the standard load lugs?
The factory-installed load lugs accept wire sizes ranging from 3/0 AWG to 350 kcmil. These standard lugs are rated for both Aluminum (Al) and Copper (Cu) conductors. Verify your enclosure has adequate bending space when using maximum gauge 350 kcmil wiring.
How does the JDA36250 connect to the panel busbar?
It features Square D's I-Line plug-in design. The line side uses specialized jaws that firmly clamp onto the panelboard's vertical bus stack, ensuring a secure electrical connection without requiring individual line-side cables. The load side uses standard mechanical wire lugs.
Is this PowerPacT breaker suitable for DC power systems?
Yes. In addition to alternating current applications up to 600VAC, it is rated for use in direct current systems up to 250VDC. When installed in DC systems, it provides up to a 20 kA interrupting capacity, making it suitable for industrial battery banks or commercial DC power applications.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
