The instantaneous magnetic trip on this 200A breaker is adjustable from 1000A at the low setting up to 2000A at the high setting. The thermal overload trip remains fixed at 200A.
What is the required tightening torque for the AL250JD lugs on this breaker?
When landing 3/0 AWG to 350 kcmil aluminum or copper wire, the standard line and load lugs should be torqued to 230 lb-in (26 N-m).
Will the JDL36200 plug directly into a Square D I-Line panelboard?
No. The JDL36200 is a unit-mount breaker designed to be bolted to a backpan and wired using lugs. To fit an I-Line panelboard, you will need the I-Line version of this breaker, which is catalog number JDA36200.
Is it possible to DIN rail mount this J-frame circuit breaker?
Yes. While it comes ready for standard backpan mounting, the unit-mount JDL36200 can be installed on a DIN rail using a separate mounting bracket adapter, catalog number S29305.
Can the Square D JDL36200 be reverse fed?
Yes. This thermal-magnetic breaker does not contain electronic trip units with directional constraints, making it suitable for reverse connection applications where the supply voltage enters the load side terminals.
How can I manually test the mechanical tripping mechanism on this breaker?
You can manually exercise the breaker mechanism using the built-in push-to-trip button located on the front faceplate. Pressing this button trips the breaker, which is a recommended maintenance practice to ensure internal mechanical linkages operate freely.

Expedited Shipments
