The factory-installed lugs accept 3/0 AWG to 350 kcmil aluminum or copper conductors. When installing, tighten the terminals to 221 lb-in (25 N.m).
How do I configure the trip settings on this circuit breaker?
This thermal-magnetic breaker features fixed thermal overload protection at 225A and an adjustable magnetic short-circuit pickup. You can adjust the magnetic trip range from a low hold current of 1125A up to a high trip current of 2250A.
Is it safe to reverse feed the JGL36225?
Yes. Standard unit-mount PowerPacT J-Frame breakers with factory-sealed trip units are suitable for reverse connection.
What is the difference between the JGL36225 and the JGA36225?
The JGL36225 is a unit-mount circuit breaker that uses lug connections on both the line and load sides. The JGA36225 is the I-Line version, featuring a plug-on line side specifically designed for Square D I-Line panelboards.
Is this breaker rated for 100 percent continuous current?
No, this standard model is rated for 80 percent continuous current. If your application requires a 100 percent continuous current rating, you must use the JGL36225C variant.

No, this is a feed-thru, unit-mount breaker intended for Square D NF panelboards, switchboards, and industrial enclosures. For an I-Line panelboard, you must use an I-Line specific frame like the JGA36225.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
