This unit-mount breaker comes standard with factory-installed line and load lugs (catalog number AL250JD). These lugs accept 3/0 AWG to 350 kcmil aluminum or copper wire.
Can I install the JGL36250 in a Square D I-Line panelboard?
No. The JGL36250 is a unit-mount circuit breaker intended for lug-to-lug installations. For an I-Line panelboard, you must use the I-Line plug-on version, catalog number JGA36250.
Are the trip settings adjustable on this breaker?
The thermal overload protection is fixed at 250A. However, the instantaneous magnetic short-circuit protection is adjustable, providing a low hold setting of 1250A and a high trip setting of 2500A.
Is the JGL36250 suitable for reverse-fed applications?
Yes. Because it utilizes a standard thermal-magnetic trip unit without electronic communications, this circuit breaker is suitable for reverse feeding.
Can I add a shunt trip or auxiliary contacts to this breaker?
Yes. PowerPacT J-Frame breakers accept a variety of internal field-installable accessories, including shunt trips, auxiliary switches, alarm switches, and undervoltage releases.
Is this circuit breaker 80% or 100% rated?
The JGL36250 carries a standard 80% continuous current rating.
How does the breaker indicate a fault trip?
When a fault occurs, the toggle handle moves to a central tripped position. It also features the Square D Visi-Trip indicator, which provides a high-visibility mechanical flag to help you quickly locate the tripped breaker in a panel.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
