No. It is engineered exclusively for Square D I-Line power distribution panelboards and switchboards. It will not fit in standard NQ or NF lighting panels unless they are built as an I-Line combo panelboard featuring a dedicated I-Line power section.
Which side of the breaker utilizes the mechanical wire lugs?
On I-Line circuit breakers, the line side connects directly to the panelboard bus via a factory-installed plug-on jaw assembly. The mechanical wire lugs are located exclusively on the load side for your outgoing field connections.
What is the magnetic trip adjustment range for this breaker?
The instantaneous magnetic trip function can be adjusted using a dial on the breaker face, featuring a low setting of 1000A and a high setting of 2000A to assist with selective coordination.
Is the LA-frame circuit breaker series still in active production?
The LA frame is a legacy product line that has been phased out by Schneider Electric. For new installations or direct 200A I-Line replacements, the Square D PowerPacT J-Frame is the current generation equivalent.
Can I use a modern PowerPacT L-Frame breaker to replace this 200A unit?
No. While both utilize the I-Line mounting standard, the modern PowerPacT L-Frame series starts at a minimum of 250A. To directly replace a 200A LA-frame breaker, you must use a PowerPacT J-Frame unit, which covers the 150A to 250A range.
Can I coordinate this breaker using a Micrologic electronic trip unit?
No. The LA36200 relies on traditional thermal-magnetic trip technology. It features a fixed thermal element and an adjustable magnetic element, and it cannot be upgraded or retrofitted with a Micrologic electronic trip unit.

Expedited Shipments
