6 answersCan the Q2L2100 be used in modern NQ panelboards?
No. The Q2L2100 is designed specifically for legacy NQOD panelboards, switchboards, and individual enclosures. Modern NQ panels require different breaker frames, such as the PowerPact Q series or QO series depending on the amperage and bus configuration.
What does a feed-thru connection mean for the Q2L2100?
As a feed-thru, unit-mount breaker, the Q2L2100 does not plug onto a panelboard busbar or use I-Line jaws. Instead, it bolts directly to the backpan or enclosure and requires wire connections at both the line and load lugs.
Can the Q2L2100 be reverse fed?
Yes. Because this thermal-magnetic breaker uses standard lugs on both ends and does not have printed line and load restrictions, it can be reverse fed for use as a main breaker in control panels and switchboards.
What type of protection do the Long-Time and Instantaneous trip functions provide?
The Long-Time (L) function provides delayed thermal protection against sustained overloads, while the Instantaneous (I) function offers immediate magnetic tripping to clear severe short circuits.
Is the Q2L2100 still in active production?
The Q2L is a legacy Q-frame molded case circuit breaker. While it remains a direct replacement for existing NQOD panelboards and older switchboards, Square D has transitioned to the PowerPact Q-frame for newer applications.
How can maintenance personnel identify if the Q2L2100 has tripped?
The breaker is equipped with a Visi-Trip indicator. When a fault occurs and the breaker trips, a high-visibility red indicator appears in the window, making it easy to spot the tripped circuit inside a crowded panelboard.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
