How does the QGA222254 connect to the panelboard bus?
It utilizes Square D I-Line plug-on jaws on the line side. These specialized blow-on connectors are designed to grip the bus bars tighter during a short circuit. The load side features standard mechanical lugs.
What are the wire size and torque requirements for the load lugs?
The load-side lugs accept 4 AWG to 300 kcmil aluminum or copper wire. To ensure a safe and compliant connection, the lugs must be torqued to 248 lb-in (28 N.m).
Are the trip settings adjustable on this Q-Frame breaker?
No. The QGA222254 features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time overload protection and the instantaneous short-circuit protection are factory-set and cannot be modified.
Can the QGA222254 be installed in a 480V I-Line panelboard?
No. While it will physically mount to standard I-Line bus bars, this breaker is rated for a maximum of 240VAC. Using it on a 480V system violates its voltage rating and creates a severe safety hazard.
Is the QGA222254 a direct replacement for older Square D breakers?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
