This breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It features a plug-on line side connection that fastens directly to the internal I-Line bus assembly.
What are the wire size and torque specifications for the load lugs?
The load side mechanical lugs accept copper or aluminum wire ranging from 4 AWG to 300 kcmil. The factory recommended tightening torque for these load lugs is 247.8 lb-in (28 N.m).
Can the QGA32200 replace older Square D Q2 series breakers?
Yes. The PowerPacT Q-frame series is the modern direct replacement for the legacy Square D Q2 series. Specifically, the QGA32200 directly replaces the obsolete Q232200 I-Line circuit breaker.
What does the letter G in the QGA part number represent?
In the PowerPacT Q-frame family, the middle letter indicates the interrupting capacity. The G in QGA signifies a 65kAIC rating at 240VAC. For comparison, a QDA breaker has a 25kAIC rating, while a QJA breaker offers a 100kAIC rating.
How is the line side connection made on this breaker?
The QGA32200 utilizes an I-Line plug-on connection for the line side, which mounts directly to the bus structure of an I-Line panel. The load side features standard mechanical lugs for hardwiring directly to your branch circuit or feeder.
Does the QGA32200 feature adjustable trip settings?
No. This breaker is equipped with a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. It provides standard long-time and instantaneous protection but does not include adjustable dials for customizing the trip curve.
Can the QGA32200 be installed on a 480V system?
No. The maximum voltage rating for the QGA32200 and all PowerPacT Q-frame breakers is 240VAC. They are strictly designed for 240V, 208V, or 120V systems and cannot be safely used on 480V or 600V distribution systems.
Does this breaker include a push-to-trip feature?
Yes. Like all Square D PowerPacT circuit breakers, the QGA32200 includes an integral push-to-trip button on the front cover. This allows electricians to manually trip the breaker mechanism to verify mechanical operation prior to maintenance or testing.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.

Expedited Shipments
