This plug-on breaker is compatible with Square D QO load centers, NQ panelboards, and NQOD panelboards. It will not fit Homeline or other manufacturer panels.
Does the QO115AFI require a connection to the neutral bar?
Yes, this breaker is equipped with a pigtail neutral wire. The pigtail must be routed and secured to the neutral bus bar in the panel for the arc-fault circuitry to operate correctly.
What is the modern replacement for the QO115AFI?
The QO115AFI is a legacy branch and feeder AFCI. It has been replaced by the QO115CAFI, which is a combination AFCI designed to meet current NEC requirements by detecting both parallel and series arcing faults.
How does the Visi-Trip indicator work on this breaker?
When the breaker trips due to an overload, short circuit, or arc fault, the handle moves to the center position and a bright red indicator appears in the window. This allows for rapid identification of the tripped circuit.
What wire gauges are supported by the QO115AFI terminals?
The pressure plate terminals are rated for 14 to 8 AWG copper wire, or 12 to 8 AWG aluminum wire.
Can the QO115AFI be installed in a Plug-On Neutral load center?
