This plug-on breaker installs exclusively in Square D QO load centers, NQ panelboards, and legacy NQOD panelboards. It is not compatible with Homeline or bolt-on QOB panels.
What is the bolt-on equivalent for the QO230GFI?
If installing in a panel that requires bolt-on connections, use the QOB230GFI. The QO230GFI features plug-on mounting and cannot be secured to a bolt-on bus bar.
What is the ground-fault trip threshold for this breaker?
The QO230GFI provides Class A ground-fault protection. It trips when detecting a ground fault of 4 to 6 mA, ensuring personnel protection against electrical shock.
Does the QO230GFI require a neutral connection to operate?
Yes, the breaker itself requires a neutral connection to power its internal GFCI circuitry. You must connect the factory-installed white pigtail wire directly to the neutral bar in your load center.
Can I use this 2-pole GFCI breaker for a straight 240V load without a neutral wire?
Yes. For straight 240V applications like well pumps or water heaters, connect the two hot wires to the breaker and leave the load neutral lug empty. The breaker's white pigtail must still be connected to the panel neutral bar.
How does the Visi-Trip indicator work on this GFCI breaker?
When the breaker trips due to an overcurrent, short circuit, or ground fault, a highly visible red flag appears in the window. This allows for quick identification of the tripped circuit in a crowded panel.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
