Part of the QOU series, the Square D QOUR250 delivers 50A of thermal-magnetic protection for OEM applications and control panels. This 2-pole miniature breaker features factory-reversed lugs, allowing for flush mounting and back-wiring configurations that standard breakers cannot accommodate. Rated at 10 kAIC, this unit-mount breaker installs onto 35mm DIN rails, surfaces, or flush mounts. The QOUR250 is electrically identical to the standard QOU250, but it is shipped from the factory with the field-reversible lugs already reversed. This accommodates specific wiring configurations without requiring manual adjustment during installation.
How is the QOUR250 mounted in an electrical system?
This is a unit-mount circuit breaker. It can be surface-mounted, flush-mounted, or installed on a standard 35mm DIN rail using the appropriate mounting hardware, making it highly versatile for control panels and OEM enclosures.
Can I install the QOUR250 in a standard Square D QO load center?
No. The QOUR250 is a unit-mount breaker designed for OEM panels, control panels, and DIN rail systems. It does not have the plug-on or bolt-on clips required to connect to the busbar of a standard QO or NQ load center.
Is the QOUR250 rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated. It is approved for use with motor group combinations commonly found in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
What is the recommended tightening torque for the box lugs on this breaker?
The slotted box lugs on the QOUR250 should be torqued to 45 lb-in (5.08 N-m) when using the accepted 14 AWG to 2 AWG aluminum or copper wire.
Can the lugs on the QOUR250 be reversed in the field?
Yes. While the QOUR250 comes from the factory with the lugs already reversed compared to a standard QOU breaker, they remain field-reversible. By removing the wire binding screw, the lug can be flipped to accommodate different wiring angles if your application requires it.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
