No. While it fits compatible GE PowerMark Gold and Plus load centers, the THQP230 is a half-inch per pole space-saving breaker. It must be installed in designated panel slots configured with perpendicular busbar stabs designed specifically for the THQP mounting clip. Check your panel's wiring diagram to verify which slots accept tandem breakers.
What is the physical difference between GE THQP and THQL series breakers?
THQP breakers are half the width of standard breakers, measuring 1/2-inch per pole. The 2-pole THQP230 occupies a single 1-inch space in your panel. In contrast, standard THQL breakers measure 1-inch per pole, meaning a 2-pole THQL requires two full 1-inch spaces. Your panel must explicitly list THQP compatibility.
Does the THQP230 require a manual handle tie for 240V circuits?
No. This 2-pole breaker features an internal common trip mechanism and a factory-installed handle tie. It will simultaneously disconnect both poles during an overload or short circuit to ensure safe operation.
Is the THQP230 suitable for HVAC and refrigeration loads?
Yes. This circuit breaker is HACR rated, making it approved for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment applications that require circuit protection.

No. The THQP230 is uniquely engineered for compatible GE load centers. It is not UL listed or physically compatible with panels from Square D, Siemens, Eaton, or other competing manufacturers.

Expedited Shipments
