The GHB3030V is a bolt-on breaker designed specifically for Eaton Pow-R-Line C, Series C, and legacy Westinghouse PRL2 panelboards.

What does the V suffix indicate on the GHB3030V catalog number?

The V suffix denotes a special 50°C ambient temperature calibration. While standard GHB breakers are calibrated for 40°C, this model is designed to prevent nuisance tripping in high-heat industrial or marine environments.

Can the GHB3030V be used as a replacement for a standard GHB3030?

Yes. The GHB3030V shares the exact same physical dimensions, G-Frame footprint, and bolt-on mounting as the standard GHB3030. It simply offers a higher ambient temperature calibration of 50°C.

Is the GHB3030V suitable for use on a 480V 3-phase Delta system?

No. This breaker carries a 480Y/277V AC slash rating, meaning it is only approved for solidly grounded Wye systems where the voltage to ground does not exceed 277V. It cannot be safely applied on ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V Delta systems.

What wire sizes are accepted by the lugs on the GHB3030V?

The factory-installed lugs on this breaker accept 10 AWG to 1/0 AWG wire and are rated for both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors.

Are the trip settings on the GHB3030V adjustable?

No. This breaker features a thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed Long-Time and fixed Instantaneous (LI) trip functions. Neither the thermal overload nor the magnetic short-circuit pickup can be adjusted in the field.

    Used model

    Breaker ohm tested out fine and currently working on load test with a longer term battery charger. So far so good. Packaged very well no visible damages during shipping. Even received a follow up call from customer that I missed.

    Good Product, but Disappointed With the Service

    Good product, but I was disappointed with the service. I accidentally placed two separate orders and ended up paying freight on both. I had requested that they combine the orders, and had that been done with the freight waived, it would have saved me money.

    Other than that, everything was good. I’m just disappointed that no one communicated this to me.
