The EGB26060 is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series panelboards. It mounts directly to the panel bus using a bolt-on connection.
Can I install the EGB26060 in a Square D NQ panelboard?
No. Square D NQ panelboards are designed for QO and QOB series breakers. The EGB26060 is an E-frame breaker and will only fit in NF series panelboards.
What type of lugs are standard on the EGB26060 and what wire sizes do they accept?
This breaker comes with standard mechanical lugs that accept 14 to 2/0 AWG copper or 12 to 2/0 AWG aluminum conductors. Always verify the required torque settings printed on the breaker faceplate before terminating.
Does the EGB26060 require a specific mounting hardware kit?
No separate mounting hardware kit is required. The EGB26060 is a bolt-on breaker that includes the necessary captive mounting screws to secure it directly to the NF panelboard bus.
Can the EGB26060 be used in a 480V ungrounded delta system?
No. The EGB26060 has a slash voltage rating of 480Y/277VAC and 600Y/347VAC. It is only suitable for solidly grounded wye systems where the voltage to ground does not exceed the lower number (277V or 347V). It cannot be used on ungrounded or corner-grounded delta systems.
What do the LI trip functions mean on the EGB26060?
The LI designation indicates that the thermal-magnetic trip unit provides Long-Time (L) protection for overloads and Instantaneous (I) protection for short circuits. Both the thermal and magnetic trip points are fixed on this model.
What is the difference between EDB, EGB, and EJB breakers?
EDB, EGB, and EJB breakers share the same physical footprint and mount in NF panelboards, but they have different interrupting ratings. The EGB26060 has a 65kAIC rating at 240VAC and 35kAIC at 480Y/277VAC, which is higher than the standard EDB series but lower than the high-interrupting EJB series.
Can the EGB26060 replace an EDB26060?

Expedited Shipments
