Built for commercial applications, the EHB24090 is a 2-pole, 90A molded case circuit breaker from Square D. It provides essential thermal-magnetic protection against overloads and short circuits. Yes, the EHB series is a legacy product line that has been discontinued by Schneider Electric. It is no longer manufactured, making existing stock the primary source for direct replacements in older NEHB panels.
Which panelboards accept the EHB24090 breaker?
This bolt-on breaker is specifically designed for legacy Square D NEHB lighting and distribution panelboards. It is not compatible with modern NQ, NF, or I-Line panels.
Can I replace an EHB24090 with a newer EDB series breaker?
Not directly. While the EDB series is the modern equivalent, it is designed for Square D NF panelboards and will not fit into a legacy NEHB panelboard. Upgrading to EDB breakers requires replacing the entire panelboard infrastructure.
What wire sizes and materials are compatible with the EHB24090?
The factory lugs accept wire gauges from 4 AWG up to 2/0 AWG. The terminals are dual-rated for use with either aluminum or copper conductors.
Is the EHB24090 suitable for 480V Delta systems?
No. Because it carries a 480Y/277VAC slash rating, it is only approved for solidly grounded wye systems where the line-to-ground voltage does not exceed 277V. It cannot be used on ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V delta systems.
Are the trip settings on the EHB24090 adjustable?
No, this is a fixed thermal-magnetic breaker. Both the long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit trip functions are factory-set and cannot be adjusted in the field.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
