Which panelboards accept the QOB215SWN circuit breaker?

This bolt-on breaker is designed specifically for Square D NQ and NQOD panelboards. It cannot be used in standard QO load centers, which require plug-on connections.

What does the SWN designation mean on this breaker?

SWN stands for Switched Neutral. This means the breaker is designed to simultaneously open both the ungrounded (hot) and grounded (neutral) conductors when tripped or manually disconnected.

Can the QOB215SWN be used as a direct replacement for a standard QOB215?

No. While both are 15A, 2-pole breakers, the QOB215SWN is a switched neutral breaker rated for 120V AC. A standard QOB215 is used for 120/240V AC applications and does not switch the neutral conductor.

How is the QOB215SWN secured to the panelboard?

It uses a bolt-on mounting mechanism. The breaker fastens directly to the panelboard busbar with a screw, ensuring a secure and vibration-resistant electrical connection.

What wire gauges are compatible with the terminals on this breaker?

The pressure plate terminals accommodate wire sizes from 14 AWG to 8 AWG. Both copper and aluminum conductors are supported.

Expedited Shipments
