This bolt-on breaker is designed for use in Eaton Pow-R-Line panelboards (including PRL1a, PRL2a, PRL1X, and PRL2X), as well as legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer bolt-on panelboards.
Does the shunt trip on the BAB3020HS require extra space in the panel?
Yes. The factory-installed shunt trip adds one extra pole of width to the breaker. Because this is a 3-pole breaker, it will require 4 pole spaces (4 inches) of mounting space in your panelboard.
How do I wire the shunt trip on this breaker?
The shunt trip module features two black, non-polarity-sensitive leads. Connect one lead to your control voltage source and the other to a normally open (NO) contact, such as a momentary push button or fire alarm relay, to complete the circuit.
What are the recommended lug torque specifications for the BAB3020HS?
Torque requirements depend on the wire size used. For 14-10 AWG wire, torque the box lugs to 20 in-lbs. For 8 AWG, torque to 40 in-lbs. For 6-4 AWG, torque to 45 in-lbs.
