Although it is a 2-pole breaker, the BJ2200 requires four 1-inch pole spaces. It is a large-frame breaker that mounts across the panel bus, occupying two spaces on the left side and two spaces on the right side of the load center.
Which hold-down kit is needed if I use the BJ2200 as a back-fed main?
To secure the BJ2200 as a back-fed main in a main lug only (MLO) panel, use the Eaton BJHDS hold-down screw kit for legacy BR load centers. For modern BR Plug-On Neutral (PON) panels, use the BRPHDBJ2 hold-down kit.
Can this breaker replace an older Bryant or Westinghouse Type BJ breaker?
Yes. Eaton acquired Bryant and Westinghouse, and the Eaton BJ2200 is the exact, UL-listed replacement for legacy Bryant and Westinghouse Type BJ 200A circuit breakers.
Is there a minimum panel amperage requirement for the BJ2200?
Yes, Eaton specifications require the BJ2200 to be installed in a load center with a bus rating of at least 150 amps.
Does this breaker provide AFCI or GFCI protection?
No, the BJ2200 is a standard thermal-magnetic circuit breaker. It provides standard overload and short-circuit protection but does not include arc-fault (AFCI) or ground-fault (GFCI) circuitry.

Expedited Shipments
