This C-Frame breaker is designed to mount into legacy Westinghouse panelboards as well as Eaton F-Frame panelboards. It is commonly used to maintain or upgrade older electrical distribution systems.
Will this replace my older Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer CA3100?
Yes. Eaton acquired both the Westinghouse distribution equipment line and Cutler-Hammer. This breaker is the direct replacement for older CA3100 units from either brand.
What wire sizes are compatible with the terminals on the CA3100?
The included line and load lugs are rated for both aluminum and copper conductors, accepting wire sizes from 3 AWG up to 300 kcmil. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
Can the trip settings on the CA3100 be adjusted?
No, this breaker features a fixed thermal magnetic trip unit. The long-time and instantaneous protection settings are factory calibrated and cannot be modified in the field.
How does the CA3100 mount into the panel?
It features a unit mount, feed-thru design that bolts securely into compatible panelboards and switchboards.
Is the CA3100 suitable for DC voltage applications?
