Part of the Quicklag family, this 15A miniature breaker provides dedicated equipment protection for commercial applications. It detects ground faults at a 30mA threshold to prevent damage to machinery. Featuring a cable-in/cable-out panel mount configuration, it installs into Eaton Quicklag panelboards and enclosures. 5 answersWhat is the ground fault trip sensitivity for the QCGFEP1015?
This is a Ground Fault Equipment Protector (GFEP) with a 30mA trip threshold. It is designed to protect machinery from equipment damage, unlike Class A GFCI breakers which trip at 5mA for personnel protection.
How does a feed-thru QC breaker connect to the power source?
Unlike plug-on or bolt-on breakers, the QC series uses a cable-in/cable-out configuration. You must land individual wires on both the line and load box lugs, making it ideal for remote mounting or custom enclosures without a traditional busbar.
What is the purpose of the pigtail wire on this breaker?
The pigtail neutral must be wired directly to the neutral bar in your panelboard or enclosure. This connection powers the internal circuitry required to monitor the circuit for ground faults.
Can I use this to replace an older Cutler-Hammer QCGFEP1015?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and continues to manufacture this exact breaker under the same catalog number. The Eaton and Cutler-Hammer branded versions are fully interchangeable.
Will this breaker snap onto a standard load center busbar?
No. The QCGFEP1015 is a panel mount, feed-thru breaker. It does not connect to a busbar and is specifically designed for Eaton Quicklag panelboards or enclosures that accommodate cable-in/cable-out mounting.

Expedited Shipments

Unfortunately, I think that the breaker that was shipped to me is defective. It has a very sensitive neutral element on panel side lead and trips when breaker is energized.
I tried it on another circuit and does the same. existing breakers checked and installed in slot for new breaker and they function normally.
it's not beyond the realm of possibly that it was a factory defect.
I will be calling soon to speak with a technician.
