What type of panelboards accept the QCGFEP1020 breaker?
This breaker is designed for use in Eaton Quicklag panelboards and Quicklag enclosures that accept cable-in/cable-out mounted breakers.
How does the QCGFEP1020 mount into the panel?
The QC series utilizes a cable-in/cable-out mounting design. It does not plug on or bolt directly to a busbar. Instead, it is secured via panel mounting and wired directly to the line and load sides.
How is the neutral connection handled on this GFEP breaker?
The breaker includes a pigtail neutral wire that must be connected directly to the neutral bar in your panelboard to power the ground fault sensing circuitry.
Can I use the QCGFEP1020 to meet NEC requirements for personnel GFCI protection?
No. Because this breaker has a 30mA trip threshold, it does not meet the 5mA Class A GFCI requirement for protecting personnel in areas like bathrooms, kitchens, or outdoor receptacles.
Is the QCGFEP1020 interchangeable with QB or QCH series breakers?
No. While they are all part of the Quicklag family, QC breakers are cable-in/cable-out, QB breakers are bolt-on, and QCH breakers have a higher interrupting capacity. You must use the specific mounting type required by your panel.

Unfortunately, I think that the breaker that was shipped to me is defective. It has a very sensitive neutral element on panel side lead and trips when breaker is energized.
I tried it on another circuit and does the same. existing breakers checked and installed in slot for new breaker and they function normally.
it's not beyond the realm of possibly that it was a factory defect.
I will be calling soon to speak with a technician.
