What do the numbers in the BQ225225 catalog number signify?
The 225225 indicates the amperage ratings for the two separate 2-pole circuits. The outer poles form one 25-amp 240V circuit, and the inner poles form a second 25-amp 240V circuit.
Is the BQ225225 a CTL or non-CTL circuit breaker?
It is a CTL (Circuit Total Limiting) breaker. It features a rejection clip and must be installed in a panel with a notched bus bar designed to accept tandem or quad breakers.
What is the difference between the BQ225225 and the BQC225225?
The BQ225225 features independent trip on its 2-pole circuits, meaning the handles are tied but they lack an internal common trip mechanism. The BQC225225 is the common trip version, which features an internal common trip mechanism.
Can the BQ225225 be installed in older Westinghouse, Bryant, or Challenger panels?
Yes, this Type BR breaker is backward compatible with these older load centers. However, the specific panel must support CTL breakers and have the required notched bus bars.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
