What type of wire is compatible with the BW2125 main breaker lugs?
The factory-installed lugs accept both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors ranging from 2 AWG to 300 kcmil. Ensure you apply the correct torque specifications listed on the breaker label during installation.
How does the BW2125 mount inside the panel?
It is a main breaker that mounts directly to the bus in compatible BR load centers and ECB enclosures. Always ensure the breaker is securely seated and fastened according to the panel wiring diagram.
Can I use the Eaton BW2125 in a Square D or Siemens panel?
No. The BW2125 is specifically engineered and UL listed for Eaton BR load centers and Type ECB unit enclosures. Installing it in other brands violates UL listings and compromises safety.
What type of trip protection does the BW2125 provide?
This thermal-magnetic breaker features fixed long-time and instantaneous (LI) trip functions. The thermal element protects against prolonged overloads, while the magnetic element trips instantly during severe short circuits. The trip settings are factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field.
What is the difference between the Eaton BW2125 and BWH2125?
The BW2125 has a standard interrupting rating of 10 kAIC at 240V. The BWH2125 is the high-interrupting version, rated at 25 kAIC. Check your local utility requirements or panel labeling to determine which interrupting rating is required for your service entrance.
Does the BW2125 replace older Cutler-Hammer BW breakers?

Expedited Shipments
