This bolt-on breaker is designed for installation in Eaton, Cutler-Hammer, and legacy Westinghouse Pow-R-Line 1, 2, and 3 panelboards, including PRL1a, PRL2a, and PRL3a models, as well as standard Series C panelboards.
What are the terminal torque specifications for the GHB2040?
The recommended tightening torque for the load lugs depends on the wire size used. Torque to 20 lb-in for 14 to 10 AWG, 40 lb-in for 8 AWG, and 45 lb-in for 6 AWG up to 1/0 AWG conductors.
Can the GHB2040 breaker be reverse fed?
Yes. All Eaton Series C G-frame circuit breakers, including the GHB2040, are designed to be suitable for reverse feed applications.
Is the Eaton GHB2040 HACR rated?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, meaning it is certified for use in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment branch circuits.
Can I use the GHB2040 on a 480V ungrounded Delta system?
No. The GHB2040 is rated for 480Y/277V systems and is explicitly not suitable for use on three-phase 480V ungrounded or corner-grounded Delta electrical systems.

No. SWD ratings on this series are capped at 20A, and HID ratings require a specific catalog number with an HID suffix. The standard GHB2040 is not approved for these specific lighting loads.
Will this replace a legacy Westinghouse GHB2040 circuit breaker?

Expedited Shipments

Good product, but I was disappointed with the service. I accidentally placed two separate orders and ended up paying freight on both. I had requested that they combine the orders, and had that been done with the freight waived, it would have saved me money.
