With a 50A capacity and 30mA sensitivity, it handles commercial loads while monitoring for leakage currents. This two-pole breaker mounts into Eaton Quicklag panelboards. It installs in Eaton Quicklag panelboards and enclosures configured for QC-frame breakers. Note that the QC frame utilizes a cable-in/cable-out mounting design rather than a standard busbar plug-on connection.
What is the ground fault trip threshold for this breaker?
This Ground Fault Equipment Protector (GFEP) features a 30 mA trip threshold. This rating is specifically calibrated to protect machinery and equipment, such as heat trace systems, from damaging line-to-ground faults.
Is the QCGFEP2050 suitable for Class A personnel protection?
No. GFEP devices are rated for equipment protection at 30 mA. They do not meet the 5 mA trip threshold required for Class A personnel GFCI protection in residential or commercial applications.
How are the line, load, and neutral connections configured?
The breaker uses a cable-in/cable-out design for the phase conductors, utilizing box lugs that accept 14-4 AWG aluminum or copper wire. A factory-installed pigtail neutral is provided to connect to the panel neutral bar for the internal ground fault sensing circuitry.

Expedited Shipments

Unfortunately, I think that the breaker that was shipped to me is defective. It has a very sensitive neutral element on panel side lead and trips when breaker is energized.
I tried it on another circuit and does the same. existing breakers checked and installed in slot for new breaker and they function normally.
it's not beyond the realm of possibly that it was a factory defect.
I will be calling soon to speak with a technician.
