Delivering reliable overcurrent protection for legacy systems, this 15-amp single-pole breaker operates on 120VAC or 125VDC networks. The N-frame device incorporates fixed thermal-magnetic trip technology. It fastens into older Federal Pacific NE and NBLP panelboards, providing a seamless fit. By utilizing this exact replacement, contractors can restore power to aging enclosures without sourcing aftermarket hardware. Rated for 14kAIC at 120V, the unit includes Switching Duty certification.
Which panelboards accept the Federal Pacific NE111015?
This 1-pole breaker is designed specifically for legacy Federal Pacific NE and NBLP panelboards. It requires compatible bus connection hardware to secure the N-frame footprint.
What wire gauge range is supported by the NE111015 lugs?
The included load-side terminals accept conductor sizes from 14 AWG up to 2 AWG. Always verify local codes and apply the correct torque when terminating the wiring.
Is this breaker suitable for direct current systems?
Yes, the NE111015 is rated for both alternating and direct current. It provides a 14kA interrupting capacity at 120VAC and a 10kA interrupting capacity at 125VDC.
Is the NE111015 part of the Federal Pacific Stab-Lok line?
No, this is a commercial-grade N-frame molded case circuit breaker. Unlike the residential Stab-Lok plug-on breakers, it utilizes a secure bolt-on connection to the panelboard bus.
How is the NE111015 secured inside the enclosure?
It uses a bolt-on mounting configuration. The breaker fastens directly to the panelboard busbar using threaded hardware, which prevents the unit from loosening under heavy loads or vibration.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit function on this model?
The fixed trip mechanism provides dual protection. The thermal component responds to prolonged overloads with a long-time delay, while the magnetic component trips instantaneously when a severe short circuit is detected.
Why use the NE111015 instead of retrofitting the panel?
Federal Pacific is no longer in business, making original N-frame breakers obsolete. Sourcing this exact legacy replacement allows electricians to restore power to aging NE and NBLP enclosures without the high cost and downtime of a complete panelboard upgrade.
