This breaker is engineered specifically for GE A-Series lighting and distribution panelboards. It bolts directly to the panelboard bus for a secure, high-capacity connection.
What wire sizes are supported by the load lugs on this breaker?
The factory-installed load lugs accept either copper or aluminum conductors ranging from 4 AWG to 2/0 AWG.
Can this TEYL breaker be used outside of an A-Series panelboard?
Yes. By utilizing a separate bolt-on mounting base accessory, the breaker can be adapted for standalone lug-to-lug applications inside custom control panels or industrial enclosures.
Can the thermal-magnetic trip settings be adjusted in the field?
No. The TEYL3090B features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit with factory-set long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection functions. It does not support field adjustability.
How does the TEYL3090B differ from the standard TEY390 breaker?
While both are 90-amp, 3-pole breakers that fit the exact same A-Series panelboards, they have different short-circuit interrupting ratings. The standard TEY390 is rated for 14kAIC at 277/480VAC, whereas the high-interrupting TEYL3090B provides a 65kAIC rating at the same voltage.
Will the TEYL3090B ship with a GE or ABB label?
Because ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions, this breaker may arrive with either ABB or General Electric branding. The physical dimensions, mounting hardware, and performance specifications remain completely identical regardless of the printed logo.
What mechanical safety features are built into the TEYL frame?
The breaker utilizes a quick-make, quick-break operating mechanism to prevent arcing during manual switching. It also includes common trip bars to ensure all three poles open simultaneously during a fault, alongside easy-to-spot trip indication.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
