No. The THQB1130GFT is a bolt-on circuit breaker designed for GE A-Series panelboards and AQ lighting panels. Standard GE residential load centers, such as the PowerMark Gold series, require plug-on THQL breakers and will not accept bolt-on THQB models.
The GFT suffix indicates that the breaker is a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) equipped with a self-test feature. It provides Class A ground fault protection, tripping at a 5mA threshold to protect personnel from electrical shock.
Yes. The THQB1130GFT serves as a direct, drop-in replacement for the discontinued THQB1130GF. The T simply designates the addition of a modern self-test feature required by updated UL standards, while the physical dimensions and electrical ratings remain identical.
ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions in 2018. As a result, the THQB1130GFT may arrive with either ABB or GE branding, but the breaker itself, its UL listings, and its panel compatibility are exactly the same.
This breaker features a pigtail neutral wire. During installation, the coiled white pigtail must be connected directly to the panelboard's neutral bus bar to ensure the ground fault detection circuitry functions correctly.
This breaker uses a fixed Thermal Magnetic trip unit with LIG functions. This provides Long-Time protection against overloads, Instantaneous protection against short circuits, and Ground Fault protection for personnel safety.
