Rated for 50A at 120/240V, this two-pole GFEP breaker is engineered to protect machinery and heat-tracing equipment from damaging low-level ground faults. Unlike personnel GFCIs, the 30mA trip threshold prevents nuisance tripping on industrial equipment while still safeguarding the hardware. It mounts securely into GE A-Series panelboards and AQ lighting panels using a standard bolt-on connection. Features include an internal common trip and a 10kAIC short-circuit rating.

Product FAQs
6 answers
What panels are compatible with the THQB2150GFEP2 circuit breaker?
This bolt-on breaker is designed for use in ABB and GE A-Series panelboards, specifically Type AQ and AQC lighting panels.
Can I install this THQB breaker in a standard GE residential load center?
No. Standard GE residential load centers require THQL plug-on breakers. The THQB series utilizes a bolt-on mounting design meant strictly for commercial A-Series panelboards.
What is the difference between this GFEP breaker and a GFCI breaker?
A Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP) breaker like this model trips at a 30mA threshold to protect heat tracing equipment and machinery from low-level faults. A standard Class A GFCI trips at a much lower 5mA threshold to protect personnel from electric shock.
How is the neutral connection handled during installation?
This breaker features a pigtail neutral wire. The pigtail must be securely landed on the neutral bus bar in your panelboard for the internal ground fault protection circuitry to function.
Will an ABB branded THQB2150GFEP2 fit in my older GE industrial panel?
Yes. Following ABB's acquisition of GE Industrial Solutions, ABB continues to manufacture the Q-Line series. The ABB branded breaker maintains the exact same dimensions, bolt-on connections, and catalog number, making it fully compatible with legacy GE panels.
Does this breaker protect against standard overloads as well as ground faults?
Yes. It utilizes a thermal magnetic trip mechanism to provide standard long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit protection, operating alongside the ground fault detection.

Customers say these circuit breakers arrive quickly and work as expected. Many reviews mention fast shipping, with some receiving orders overnight or within days. Users report the breakers fit properly, install easily, and function correctly in both residential and commercial applications. Common feedback includes competitive pricing and good packaging that protects products during shipping. While most praise the ordering process as straightforward, some note occasional issues with missing installation screws or receiving updated product versions instead of pictured models. Several contractors and electricians appreciate having access to hard-to-find or obsolete breakers when local suppliers lack inventory.

Hard to find older style breakers
I am pleased to have access to these breakers. We have a number of them at our church. Local suppliers said that they had never seen this kind of breaker. They fit our panel perfectly.
