The THQC2180 is designed for 35mm DIN rail mounting. It features a feed-thru, lug-in and lug-out connection, allowing it to be installed in OEM control panels and enclosures without requiring a specialized busbar.
What is the difference between GE THQC, THQB, and THQL breakers?
While all three are part of the GE Q-Line family, they use different mounting methods. THQC breakers mount on a 35mm DIN rail and use line and load lugs. THQB breakers are bolt-on units for commercial panelboards, and THQL breakers are plug-on units for standard residential load centers.
Can I install the THQC2180 in a standard GE residential load center?
No. Standard GE residential load centers require plug-on THQL or THQP breakers. The THQC2180 is a DIN rail mounted breaker with lug connections, intended for OEM control panels and specific Q-Line enclosures.
Is the THQC2180 HACR rated for HVAC equipment?
Yes. As a modern UL 489 listed molded case circuit breaker, the THQC2180 is HACR rated by default and is suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Does the THQC2180 provide ground fault or arc fault protection?
No. The THQC2180 is a standard thermal magnetic circuit breaker providing long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit protection. It does not include GFCI or AFCI functionality.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.

These breakers matched perfectly for my main AC supplies for my boat. I had the original 43-year-old Chinese (GenFu) breakers that failed and these GEs were a perfect match. My only reservation for not providing a 5-star review is breakers do not arrive in GE's original packaging which can lead to questions whether they are truly "new" breakers. Otherewise, happy I found some that replaced my originals. Thanks SB!
