Built for demanding environments, the Siemens BE250H combines high-interrupting capacity with 30mA ground fault equipment protection (GFEP). This 50A breaker safeguards industrial machinery and heating equipment from ground faults while avoiding the nuisance trips common with 5mA personnel GFCIs. The 2-pole unit mounts into Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards using a robust bolt-on connection. It replaces the BLEH250 and is succeeded by the B250EGH.

Product FAQs
5 answers
Can I install the BE250H in a standard Siemens residential load center?
No. The BE250H is a bolt-on breaker designed specifically for commercial Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards. Standard residential load centers require plug-on breakers and will not accept this bolt-on frame.
What is the difference between the BE250H and a standard GFCI breaker?
The BE250H provides Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP) with a 30mA trip threshold, designed to prevent nuisance tripping on industrial equipment like heat trace cables. Standard GFCI breakers have a highly sensitive 5mA trip threshold intended for personnel protection.
Does the BE250H require a neutral connection to operate?
Yes. Even if you are supplying a straight 240V load with no neutral wire, the breaker's pigtail neutral must be connected to the panelboard neutral bar. The internal ground fault circuitry requires this connection to power the sensor and accurately detect faults.
Is the BE250H a direct replacement for older BLEH series breakers?
Yes. The Siemens BE250H is the modern replacement for the obsolete BLEH250 50A GFEP breaker. It maintains the same physical footprint and bolt-on mounting for seamless integration into existing panelboards.
Can the BE250H be used to meet NEC personnel ground fault requirements?
No. Because it is a 30mA GFEP device, it does not meet the National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for Class A personnel protection, which mandates a 5mA trip level. It is strictly rated for equipment protection applications.

The breaker was a good price but it took 3 days to ship an item that was stock. Do not assume the item will ship the next day as I was told they do not ship until they have enough orders to process. Overall I will buy from them again but I will ask when the item will ship.
