Delivering enhanced short-circuit defense, the Siemens BE260H features a high-interrupting rating of 22 kAIC at 120/240V. This two-pole, 60A bolt-on breaker provides 30mA ground-fault equipment protection (GFEP), making it ideal for safeguarding industrial machinery from line-to-ground faults. It installs into Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards. The thermal-magnetic trip mechanism ensures reliable performance. This model is replaced by the B260EGH for newer installations.

What is the ground fault trip threshold for the BE260H?
As a Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP) breaker, the BE260H has a 30mA trip threshold. This is designed to protect machinery and heat trace cables from damaging line-to-ground faults, avoiding the nuisance tripping common with 5mA personnel protection GFCIs.
Can I install the BE260H in a standard Siemens residential load center?
No. The BE260H is a bolt-on breaker designed specifically for Siemens P1, P2, and P3 commercial panelboards. For a standard plug-on residential load center, you would need the QE260H instead.
What is the difference between the BE260 and the BE260H?
The "H" in the BE260H catalog number designates a high-interrupting rating of 22kAIC at 120/240VAC. The standard BE260 model has a lower 10kAIC rating.
Does the BE260H require a dedicated neutral connection?
Yes. Because it is a ground fault sensing breaker, the BE260H includes a pigtail neutral wire that must be wired to the panelboard neutral bus to function correctly, even if the 240V load does not require a neutral.
What is the plug-on equivalent to the BE260H?
If your application requires a plug-on connection for a Siemens load center rather than a bolt-on panelboard, the QE260H is the direct 60A, 22kAIC GFEP equivalent.
What is the difference between Siemens BE and BLE series breakers?
The BE series, like the BE260H, provides Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP) with a 30mA trip threshold. The BLE series provides Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection with a highly sensitive 5mA trip threshold for personnel safety.
Can the BE260H be used for heat trace cable applications?
Yes. The 30mA GFEP rating of the BE260H makes it ideal for protecting heat trace cables and industrial machinery where a standard 5mA GFCI might experience nuisance tripping.
