Product FAQs
6 answers
Which load centers are compatible with the Siemens QF115 circuit breaker?
The QF115 is designed for use in Siemens EQ, EQL, SEQ, EQG, PL, and ES Series load centers.
Does the QF115 require a pigtail connection?
Yes, this breaker features a pigtail neutral connection. The coiled white wire must be connected directly to the panel neutral bus bar for the ground fault protection to function correctly.
What is the ground fault trip threshold for this breaker?
The QF115 provides Class A ground fault protection, meaning it is designed to trip when it detects a ground fault of 5mA.
What is the difference between the QF115 and the QF115A?
The QF115A is the updated version of the QF115. The A suffix indicates that the breaker includes an automatic self-test feature to comply with updated UL 943 standards. The QF115A serves as a direct replacement for the legacy QF115.
What wire sizes are accepted by the QF115 terminals?
The breaker lugs accept 14 to 8 AWG copper wire or 12 to 8 AWG aluminum wire.
Can I install the QF115 in a Plug-On Neutral panel?
Yes, but because the QF115 has a pigtail neutral, you must still manually wire the coiled white pigtail to the neutral bar. For a direct plug-on neutral connection without the pigtail, you would need the specific Plug-On Neutral version of this breaker.
