This E-frame breaker is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series panelboards. It will not fit NQ panelboards, which require QOB style breakers.
What does the G in the EGB14070 part number signify?
The middle letter designates the interrupting rating level at 480Y/277V. The G indicates a 35kA interrupting rating. For comparison, D indicates 18kA and J indicates 65kA.
Can I use an EDB14070 instead of the EGB14070?
You can use the EDB14070 only if your system requires an interrupting rating of 18kA or less at 277V. If the available fault current exceeds 18kA, you must use the EGB14070 or the 65kA rated EJB14070 to ensure safe operation.
What is the recommended lug torque for the EGB14070?
The recommended tightening torque is 34.5 lb-in for 14 to 10 AWG wire, and 49.6 lb-in for 8 to 2/0 AWG wire. Always verify torque specifications on the physical breaker label before terminating.
Is the EGB14070 suitable for motor loads or HVAC equipment?
Yes, all Square D EDB, EGB, and EJB circuit breakers are UL Listed as HACR type, making them suitable for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration motor loads.
Does the EGB14070 include ground fault or equipment protection?
No, the standard EGB14070 provides only thermal-magnetic overload and short-circuit protection. Equipment protection requires a breaker with an EPD suffix.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
