This E-frame circuit breaker is designed for bolt-on installation in Square D NF series panelboards. It requires a 3-pole connection and occupies three standard mounting spaces in the panel enclosure.
What are the required lug torque specifications for the EGB34060?
When landing conductors on the factory aluminum lugs, tighten 14 AWG to 10 AWG wire to 34.5 lb-in. For 8 AWG to 2/0 AWG wire, torque the lugs to 49.6 lb-in.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip settings adjustable?
No. The EGB34060 uses a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The instantaneous magnetic protection is factory calibrated with a holding current of 630A and a tripping current of 1800A.
What are the alternate E-frame breakers with different interrupting ratings?
If your power system requires a different fault rating at 480Y/277VAC, you can substitute the EDB34060 for standard capacity (18kAIC) or the EJB34060 for extra high capacity (65kAIC).
Can the EGB34060 circuit breaker be reverse fed?
Yes. Because this standard thermal-magnetic breaker does not have factory Line and Load markings, it is suitable for reverse feeding (backfeeding) applications per NEC guidelines.
Is the EGB34060 approved for HVAC equipment?

Expedited Shipments
