The EHB34015 is a bolt-on branch breaker designed exclusively for legacy Square D NEHB lighting and appliance panelboards. It connects directly to the NEHB bus structure and will not fit other manufacturer or modern Square D panels.
Is the Square D EHB series still in production?
No. Square D discontinued the NEHB panelboard and its associated EHB circuit breaker line in the 1990s. Sourcing this specific model allows facilities to maintain and safely operate their existing NEHB equipment without needing a complete electrical distribution upgrade.
Can I use an EDB or EGB breaker as a modern replacement for the EHB34015?
No. While the EDB, EGB, and EJB series are modern Square D E-frame circuit breakers, they are built specifically for NF series panelboards. Their mounting footprint and phase spacing will not align with an older NEHB panelboard bus.
Is the EHB34015 safe to use on a 480V ungrounded delta system?
No. Because this breaker carries a 480Y/277VAC slash voltage rating, National Electrical Code (NEC) rules restrict its use to 3-phase, 4-wire solidly grounded wye systems. The line-to-ground voltage cannot exceed 277V. Installing a slash-rated breaker on an ungrounded or corner-grounded delta system poses a severe fault-clearing hazard.
What type of protection does the LI trip function provide on this breaker?
The LI designation indicates a thermal-magnetic trip unit with Long-Time and Instantaneous protection. The breaker utilizes a fixed bimetallic thermal element to delay tripping for continuous, low-level overloads, while a fixed magnetic armature trips instantaneously to clear severe short circuits safely.

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
