The EHB34045 is designed exclusively for use in legacy Square D NEHB lighting and appliance panelboards. It features a bolt-on mounting style specific to this series and will not fit in modern NF or NQ panels.
Can I use a modern EDB series breaker to replace the EHB34045 in my NEHB panelboard?
No, EDB breakers are not interchangeable with EHB breakers and cannot be installed in NEHB panelboards. Because the EHB series is a legacy product, you must use an exact EHB replacement like the EHB34045 to maintain your existing NEHB panelboard.
What wire sizes and materials are supported by the terminals on the EHB34045?
The factory-installed lugs accept both copper and aluminum conductors. You can use 14 AWG to 2/0 AWG for copper wire, or 12 AWG to 2/0 AWG for aluminum wire. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
Is the EHB34045 rated for use on 480V systems?
Yes, it is rated for use on 480Y/277V AC systems with an interrupting capacity of 14kA. It can also be used on 240V AC systems, where it carries a higher interrupting rating of 65kA.
Can I adjust the trip curve on the EHB34045 breaker?
No, the thermal-magnetic trip unit on the EHB34045 is fully fixed. Both the long-time (overload) and instantaneous (short-circuit) trip functions are factory-calibrated and cannot be adjusted in the field.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
