This breaker is specifically designed for bolt-on installation in legacy Square D NEHB lighting and distribution panelboards. It cannot be installed in modern NF or NQ series panels.
Can I use an EDB34040 as a direct replacement for this breaker?
No. While the EDB34040 serves as the modern replacement series, EDB breakers are only compatible with newer NF panelboards. You must use an EHB series breaker to maintain and service an existing NEHB panelboard without replacing the entire enclosure.
Are load-side lugs included with this breaker?
Yes, the EHB34040 comes with factory-installed load lugs. These lugs accept copper conductors from 14 to 2 AWG or aluminum conductors from 12 to 2 AWG.
Does the EHB34040 require separate mounting hardware to install?
No additional mounting kits are required. The breaker bolts directly to the panel bus bars inside an NEHB panelboard. Always ensure the panel bus is completely de-energized before beginning installation or removal.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
