The legacy Square D F-frame family is obsolete. The modern equivalent for the FA36020 is the PowerPact H-frame series. For the same I-Line mounting and an identical 18kAIC at 480VAC interrupting rating, the HDA36020 is the direct upgrade path.
What types of electrical panels will accept the FA36020?
This molded case breaker is specifically designed for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It uses an I-Line style plug-in connection on the line side that attaches directly to the panel busbar.
What size and type of wire do the load lugs accommodate?
The standard factory load lugs accept solid or stranded conductors ranging from 14 AWG to 4 AWG. The lugs are rated for both copper and aluminum wire.

The Square D FA32100 circuit breaker (refurbished) was as good as a new breaker, without exception. There was no wear and tear or any marks at all. It was basically new. It is an excellent choice and a great product without having to pay the cost of a new breaker.
