No. This breaker is equipped with an I-Line style plug-in connection. It is strictly compatible with Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards, and will not fit standard QO, Homeline, NQ, or NF panels.
Is the legacy F-Frame FH36040 directly replaceable by modern Square D models?
Schneider Electric has phased out the legacy F-Frame series, designating the PowerPact B-Frame and H-Frame circuit breakers as the modern replacements. PowerPact models with I-Line connections are designed to share similar physical dimensions, allowing for straightforward retrofits into existing I-Line panelboards.
Can this circuit breaker be utilized in direct current (DC) systems?
Yes. Alongside its standard alternating current capabilities, the FH36040 is rated for direct current applications up to 250VDC, where it provides a 10kA interrupting rating.
Are the trip settings on the FH36040 field-adjustable?
No. This unit utilizes a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism with fixed long-time and instantaneous (LI) functions. Neither the thermal overload nor the magnetic short-circuit pickup levels can be altered.
What wire conductors are compatible with the factory lugs?
The standard mechanical lugs on this breaker are dual-rated for both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors, supporting a wire range from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG.
Does the FH36040 require additional mounting hardware for installation?
No separate mounting kit is required. The integral I-Line plug-in interface is designed to connect directly to the busbar system inside compatible Square D I-Line panelboards.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
