Can I install the PJL36100 in an I-Line panelboard?
No. The PJL36100 is a unit-mount circuit breaker with lugs on both the line and load ends. It is designed for use in Square D QED switchboards, Model 6 Motor Control Centers, and individual PowerPacT P-frame enclosures, rather than I-Line plug-on panelboards.
What does the "LI" trip function code mean on this breaker?
The LI designation indicates that the electronic trip unit provides Long-Time (L) and Instantaneous (I) protection. It does not include Short-Time (S) or Ground Fault (G) protection functions.
What does the "J" in the PJL36100 catalog number signify?
In the Square D PowerPacT P-frame series, the "J" indicates the interrupting rating level. For this breaker, it signifies a maximum interrupting capacity of 100 kA at 240V AC, 65 kA at 480V AC, and 25 kA at 600V AC.
Does the PJL36100 include ground fault protection?
No. This specific model features an LI (Long-Time and Instantaneous) electronic trip unit, which does not provide equipment ground fault protection. If ground fault protection is required, a breaker with an LSIG trip unit is necessary.
Is the trip unit on the PJL36100 field-interchangeable?
The PJL36100 comes standard with a fixed ET 1.0I electronic trip unit. Unlike the advanced Micrologic trip units available for other PowerPacT P-frame models, the basic ET 1.0I trip unit is not interchangeable in the field.

Expedited Shipments
