Part of the classic Q2 series, the Square D Q232150 provides reliable 150A, 3-pole power distribution for commercial applications. This molded case circuit breaker features standard thermal-magnetic trip units with long-time and instantaneous (LI) functions. Designed for Square D I-Line panelboards, it utilizes a plug-on phase connection. This unit is officially replaced by the newer QBA32150. Yes, Square D maintains backward compatibility for its I-Line bus system. This legacy Q2 frame breaker can be installed in both older and current generation I-Line panelboards and switchboards.
What is the modern replacement for the legacy Q232150 breaker?
The Square D Q2 series is a legacy frame that is no longer in active production. When upgrading equipment, Square D recommends the newer PowerPacT Q-Frame I-Line circuit breakers, such as the QBA32150, as the modern functional equivalent.
What is the required tightening torque for the load lugs on the Q232150?
The load terminals on this breaker accept 4 AWG to 300 kcmil copper or aluminum conductors and should be torqued to 250 lb-in during installation.
How does the LI trip unit on this breaker operate?
The Q232150 uses a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit with Long-Time (L) and Instantaneous (I) functions. The thermal element provides delayed tripping for mild overloads, while the magnetic element trips instantaneously under severe short-circuit conditions.
Does the Q232150 include visual trip indication?
Yes, this model features the Square D Visi-Trip indicator. When a fault causes the breaker to trip, a high-visibility red indicator appears in the breaker window, allowing electricians to quickly locate the tripped circuit inside a crowded panel.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
