This 2-pole PowerPacT Q-Frame breaker is specifically designed for use in Square D EZ Meter-Pak and MP Meter-Pak Metering Centers. It is not compatible with standard QO or Homeline residential load centers.
What is the interrupting capacity of the QDP22070TM?
It provides a standard interrupting rating of 25kA at 240VAC. If your metering center requires a higher fault current rating, you will need to upgrade to a QGP frame for 65kA or a QJP frame for 100kA at the same voltage.
Can I use the QDP22070TM to replace older Q2 series breakers?
Yes, the PowerPacT Q-Frame series serves as a direct functional replacement for legacy Square D Q2 series circuit breakers with the same amperage and pole configuration.
What type of terminal connections does this breaker use?
The QDP22070TM features a bolt-on mounting style with stud and tapped pad connections. The load side lugs accept 4 AWG to 300 kcmil aluminum or copper wire.
Does this breaker include a push-to-trip feature for testing?
Yes, PowerPacT Q-Frame breakers feature an integral push-to-trip button on the cover. This allows electricians to manually trip the breaker to verify the mechanical operation of the trip mechanism during routine maintenance.
Is the QDP22070TM rated for 100 percent continuous duty?
No, this breaker has a standard 80 percent continuous current rating. Continuous loads running for three hours or more should not exceed 56 amps, which is 80 percent of its 70A capacity.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit operate on this breaker?
The fixed LI trip unit provides dual protection. The thermal component, or Long-Time function, responds to sustained overloads, while the magnetic component, or Instantaneous function, trips immediately during severe short circuits.
Can I use the QDP22070TM on a 277V or 480V system?
No, this breaker is rated for a maximum of 240VAC. It is suitable for 120/240VAC and 208Y/120VAC systems, but it cannot be used on 277V or 480V applications.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
