ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions, and the legacy GE residential electrical line is transitioning to the ABB ReliaHome brand. The THQL2140 is the exact same OEM breaker, built to the identical specifications, and is fully compatible with both older GE PowerMark Gold and newer ABB ReliaHome load centers.
What is the difference between GE THQL and THQP circuit breakers?
THQL breakers are standard full-size breakers measuring 1 inch wide per pole, making the 2-pole THQL2140 exactly 2 inches wide. THQP breakers are space-saving half-inch breakers. They are not physically interchangeable unless your panel is specifically designed with the cruciform busbars required to accept the narrower THQP style.
Can I use the THQL2140 to replace an older TQL circuit breaker?
