The BRH230 is designed for use in Eaton Type BR load centers. It is also UL listed for use in legacy Cutler-Hammer, Westinghouse, Bryant, and Challenger panels that specify Type BR breakers.
What is the difference between the Eaton BR230 and the BRH230?
The BRH230 is the high-interrupting version of the standard BR230. The standard BR230 has a 10 kAIC rating, whereas the BRH230 provides a 22 kAIC rating for applications requiring higher fault current protection.
What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the BRH230 terminals?
The box lugs on this breaker accept 14 AWG to 4 AWG wire. The terminals are rated for both copper and aluminum conductors.
How much panel space does the BRH230 require?
The BRH230 is a 2-pole breaker with a 1-inch per pole format. It requires two adjacent 1-inch spaces in a compatible load center.
Is the Eaton BRH230 the same as the Cutler-Hammer or Westinghouse BRH230?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse distribution equipment lines. The current Eaton BRH230 is the direct replacement for legacy Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse breakers sharing the same catalog number.
Does the BRH230 include AFCI or GFCI protection?
No. This is a standard thermal-magnetic circuit breaker that provides long-time and instantaneous trip functions for overload and short-circuit protection. It does not feature arc fault or ground fault circuitry.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
