This G-frame bolt-on breaker mounts directly into Eaton Pow-R-Line 2 (PRL2) and Pow-R-Line 3 (PRL3) panelboards, as well as legacy Series C panelboards.
Can I use this Eaton breaker to replace an older Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer GHB3030?
Yes. Eaton acquired both the Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer electrical distribution lines. The current Eaton GHB3030 is the exact direct replacement for legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer breakers carrying the same catalog number.
Is the GHB3030 suitable for use on a 480V 3-phase delta system?
No. The GHB3030 carries a 480Y/277V slash rating, meaning it is only approved for solidly grounded wye systems where the line-to-neutral voltage does not exceed 277V. If your facility uses an ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V delta system, you must use a fully rated 480V breaker, such as the Eaton GD or GDB series.
Can this breaker be reverse fed?
Yes. Eaton Series C G-frame circuit breakers like the GHB3030 do not have strict line and load directional requirements, making them fully suitable for reverse feed applications.
What are the wire size limits for the factory terminals?
The standard pressure terminals on this breaker accept copper or aluminum conductors from 10 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. Check the side nameplate of the breaker for the specific torque requirements based on your chosen wire size.
How does the fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit operate?
The LI (Long-Time and Instantaneous) trip unit provides two types of protection. The thermal element heats up and trips during sustained overloads, while the magnetic element activates immediately in the presence of severe short-circuit faults.
How is the GHB3030 secured inside the panel?
This is a bolt-on breaker. The load end slides under a hook mounting rail in the panel, while the line end bolts securely to the bus bar using a retaining screw.

Good product, but I was disappointed with the service. I accidentally placed two separate orders and ended up paying freight on both. I had requested that they combine the orders, and had that been done with the freight waived, it would have saved me money.
