Engineered for commercial applications, the TE32030 is a 3-pole, 30A molded case circuit breaker from GE. It features fixed thermal-magnetic trip technology for reliable overcurrent protection. This bolt-on unit installs into GE A-Series panelboards, ensuring a secure connection for three-phase systems. For facility managers maintaining older infrastructure, it is often replaced by the TEB132030.
What panelboards are compatible with the GE TE32030 circuit breaker?
The TE32030 is a Q-Line bolt-on circuit breaker designed specifically for use in General Electric A-Series panelboards and AQ lighting panels.
What is the advantage of the bolt-on mounting style used by the TE32030?
Bolt-on breakers like the TE32030 fasten directly to the panelboard busbar with screws. This creates a highly secure, vibration-resistant electrical connection commonly required in commercial and industrial environments.
Is the GE TE32030 circuit breaker HACR rated?
Yes, GE Q-Line breakers, including the TE32030, carry an HACR rating, making them suitable for protecting heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment circuits.
Can the TE32030 be reverse fed in a panel?
Yes. Because this thermal-magnetic breaker is not marked with specific "Line" and "Load" designations, it is suitable for reverse feed applications when installed with an approved retaining bracket in accordance with local electrical codes.
How does the TE32030 differ from GE THQL breakers?
While both are part of the GE Q-Line family, the TE32030 is a bolt-on breaker intended for commercial A-Series panelboards. THQL breakers are plug-in style devices designed for standard residential load centers.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit in the TE32030 operate?
The breaker uses a dual-element trip mechanism. The thermal component provides a delayed trip for sustained overloads, while the magnetic component provides an instantaneous trip response to short circuits.

I have purchased several of these enclosures as part of a particular assembly I use.
The prices vary (as everything does) but are still reasonable and I typically am ordering my breaker and accessories needed so the one stop shopping is also convenient
