This breaker is designed for use in GE A-Series panelboards and GE lighting panels. It mounts directly to the bus using a bolt-on connection.
Will this breaker fit in a standard residential Q-Line load center?
No. The THED113025 is an E150 frame molded case circuit breaker built for commercial and industrial panelboards. It will not fit in residential load centers that require THQL or THQP plug-in breakers.
Can the THED113025 replace a TED113025 breaker?
Yes. The THED series shares the exact physical E150 frame dimensions as the TED series but offers a higher interrupting capacity. It serves as a direct, higher-rated replacement for the TED113025.
What does the "H" in the THED prefix indicate?
The "H" designates a high interrupting capacity version of the standard TED breaker. The THED113025 provides a 65kAIC rating at 277VAC, which is significantly higher than standard TED models.
Is this breaker rated for direct current applications?
Yes, the THED113025 is rated for 125VDC systems and provides up to 20kAIC interrupting capacity for DC fault currents.
What are the lug torque specifications for this breaker?
Torque requirements depend on the conductor size. For 14 to 10 AWG wire, apply 35 inch-pounds. For 8 to 3 AWG wire, apply 100 inch-pounds. For 2 to 1 AWG wire, apply 150 inch-pounds. When using aluminum conductors, apply a manufacturer-approved joint compound before terminating.
Is the THED113025 rated for switching duty (SWD)?
No. In the GE E150 frame series, only the 15-amp and 20-amp single-pole breakers carry the SWD rating for switching fluorescent lighting loads. The 25-amp THED113025 does not have an SWD rating.
Does this breaker carry a HACR rating?
Yes, all GE E150 frame breakers 15 amps and above, including the THED113025, are UL listed as HACR type for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Can the trip settings on the THED113025 be adjusted in the field?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit trip functions are factory set and non-interchangeable.
